Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class is an immigration category for temporary foreign workers who wish to acquire permanent resident status.

Temporary foreign workers and students with experience in Canada are ideal candidates for Canadian immigration (permanent residence).
It is considered that after gaining work experience in Canada, individuals have already established themselves in Canadian society and established an important network within their community and for their careers.

Immigration applications under the Canadian Experience Class are processed through the Express Entry selection system. Eligible candidates must create an Express Entry profile online and receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
CEC Criteria

In order to submit an application for Canadian immigration under the Canadian Experience Class, applicants must meet the following requirements:

-Applicants must have accumulated at least one year of skilled, professional or technical work experience in Canada in the last 36 months prior to application; and

-Candidates must have a level equal to or greater than threshold 5 ("advanced intermediate") or 7 ("adequate intermediate proficiency") according to Canadian language standards, depending on the level imposed by the level of the job in question.

-Candidates must intend to live outside the province of Quebec (people with work experience in Quebec and wishing to settle in Quebec must apply through the Experience Program Quebec).

Periods of self-employment or work experience acquired while you were in school full-time (for example, work experience in a co-op program) do not count in the calculation of the period of employment. qualifying work experience under the Canadian Experience Class.

Applicants may remain in Canada while the application is being processed. However, the Canadian Experience Class is also open to candidates who are no longer in Canada, considering that candidates can submit an application within two years of working in Canada.

The criteria for the Canadian Experience Class are based on a pass or fail model. If the minimum criteria are met, then the applicant is eligible for this program.
